Dear Sir of Madam:

Arkansas Nuclear One (ANO), Units 1 and 2 Technical Specifications 5.6.4 and 6.9.1.6, respectively, require the submittal of a Monthly Operating Report. The purpose of this letter is to complete the reporting requirement for October 2004.

There are no new commitments contained in this submittal.

4 Forced shutdown to repair a Main Feedwater vent stack weld.

SUMMARY

The unit began the month off line, continuing a forced outage to repair a socket weld on a Main Feedwater line vent stack. On 10/02/2004, the unit was tied back to the grid and achieved full power on 10/03/2004. The unit operated the remainder of the month at, or near, full power.
