Arkansas Nuclear One (ANO), Units 1 and 2 Technical Specifications 5.6.4 and 6.9.1.6, respectively, require the submittal of a Monthly Operating Report. The purpose of this letter is to complete the reporting requirement for October 2003.

SUMMARY

The Unit began the month with the continuation of the 2R16 Refueling outage. After completion of the outage on 10/14/2003, the Unit was tied to the grid. Turbine overspeed trip testing was performed and the Unit was tied back to the grid that same day. The Unit achieved full power on 10/17/2003, where it operated for the remainder of the month.
