Arkansas Nuclear One (ANO), Units 1 and 2 Technical Specifications 5.6.4 and 6.9.1.6, respectively, require the submittal of a Monthly Operating Report. The purpose of this letter is to complete the reporting requirement for August 2004.

There are no new commitments contained in this submittal.

SUMMARY

The Unit began the month at or near full reactor power. On 08/29/2004, the Main Turbine was taken off line to replace a Main Generator Stator Water Cooling system strainer. The Unit was briefly reconnected to the grid that same day when the Main Turbine tripped on anti-motoring. The Unit was tied back to the grid on 08/30/2004, and achieved full reactor power on 08/31/2004. The unit ended the month at, or near full reactor power.
