Arkansas Nuclear One (ANO), Units 1 and 2 Technical Specifications 5.6.4 and 6.9.1.6, respectively, require the submittal of a Monthly Operating Report. The purpose of this letter is to complete the reporting requirement for April 2004.

There are no new commitments contained in this submittal.

SUMMARY

The Unit began the month at full reactor power. On 04/07/2004 and 04/08/2004, power was reduced to -98% for Main Steam Safety Valve testing. On 04/08/2004, the Unit began an end of cycle coastdown, and was shutdown on 04/20/2004 for the 1R18 Refueling Outage. The Unit remained shutdown for the remainder of the month.
