Dear Sir or Madam:

Arkansas Nuclear One (ANO), Units 1 and 2 Technical Specifications 5.6.4 and 6.9.1.6, respectively, require the submittal of a Monthly Operating Report. The purpose of this letter is to complete the reporting requirement for January 2003. Also, in accordance with ANO Unit 2 Technical Specification 6.9.1.5.c and NUREG-0737, Item 11.1.3.3, attached is the 2002 Annual Report of Challenges to Pressurizer Safety Valves.

There are no new commitments contained in this submittal.
