Dear Mr. Check:

TRANSMITTAL OF INFORMATION This letter completes our response to your letter of January 22, 1982, which j requested specific information in the area of core energetics. The remaining computer format information requested in Question 760.5 was provided to C.

Allen of your staff on March 18, 1982. The enclosure describes the contents of the magnetic tape and computer printout listing. This information is suitable for transmittal to your LASL consultants to facilitate their review.

The PSAR update documenting responses to these questions will be included 7

i i in Amendment 67 scheduled for issue on March 31, 1982.

l Thre'e dimensional isotopic distr'ibution information requested in CS760.5 e ( was previously provided for the end-of-cycle 4 (E0C-4) condition (reference o'lIQiS:82:006, dated 2/19/82). This transmittal completes our response to R CS760.5 by providing two distinct sets of two dinensional information for 7 ., ' EOC-3; from these the desired three dimensional information can be developed as was agreed by telecon with the NRC contractor personnel at LASL. Similar 2D information is provided for ,EOC-4 to permit cross checking of the 3-D

derivation algorithm. Information for beginning of cycle 1 is also included, 4

th,ough not formally requested. 3 4 s

The two-dimensional isotopic.distributioniinformation from the 2DB computer i* code in hexagonal and .RZ geometries is provided via one magnetic tape. The

!, card images are written onithe magnetic , tape in the format specified by Fred j Parker of LASL (7 track, 800, bpf', BCD, 80 characters per card) and are blocked i into 45 card blocks. Each of,the six models is a separate file, and their i order on the tape is shown beltt. The computer output included with the tape J

lists the card images on the tape. The enclosed table summarizes the micro-

scopic constituents of the macroscopic cross sections used in the problem.
