NRC Docket No. 50-341

Subject:

OBE Return Period As requested,by you and J. Kimball on June 1,1981, we confirm that the Operating 3 asis Earthquake for the Fermi-2 site is based on a peak acceleration of 0.08 g.

Weston Geophysical, our consultants, have conducted a seismic hazard analysis which demonstrates that an acceleration of 0.08 g has a return period, as a minimum, of the order of 100 to 300 years.

Very truly yours,
