consumers Power company General Offices: 1945 West Parnall Road, Jackson, Ml 49201 * (517) 7!;!$-0550 March 28, 1984 Dennis M Crutchfield, Chief Operating Reactor Branch No 5 Nuclear Reactor Regulation US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, DC 20555 DOCKET 50-255 - LICENSE DPR PALISADES PLANT - USE OF CESEC-III THERMAL-HYDRAULIC COMPUTER PROGRAM NRC letter dated February 14, 1984 requested Consumers Power Company to identify transient and accident analyses performed with versions of the CESEC Thermal Hydraulic Computer Program previous to version III and submit either safety analysis performed with CESEC III or reference to generic analyses performed with CESEC III and a demonstration of the applicability of the generic analyses to the Palisades Plant.

Consumers Power Company has determined that there are no current transient analyses for Palisades based on utilization of the CESEC computer programs and therefore find the remainder of the requests made in the February 14, 1984 NRC letter to be non-applicable.
