Dear Mr. O'Connor:
On December 31, 2007, the NRC staff completed its annual inspection of the Emergency Preparedness Program at the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant. This inspection began on January 1, 2007. Issuance of this letter closes Inspection Report Number 2007501. On December 31, 2007, the NRC staff also completed its annual inspection of the Security Program at the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant. This inspection began on January 1, 2007.
Issuance of this letter closes Inspection Report Number 2007403. Some of the time NRC expended during routine Emergency Preparedness and Security Program reviews was charged to these report numbers. Any observations and findings in these areas were provided to you via separate correspondence.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC
=s ARules of Practice,@ a copy of this letter, and your response, if any, will be available electronically for pub lic inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records System (PARS) component of NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS). Inspection reports are posted on the Reactor Oversight Process (ROP) Web page.
