Dear Ms. Wiehle:

By letter dated February 6, 2020 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System

[ADAMS] Accession No. ML20050F863), Centrus Energy Corp. (Centrus) provided the U.S.

Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) its program description and plans related to the protection of classified matter at its Technology and Manufacturing Center (TMC) located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

We have completed our acceptance review of your submittal and have identified no administrative omissions or deficiencies. Your submittal has been assigned Enterprise Project Identification Number (EPID) L-2020-SPR-0004. Please reference this EPID number and Docket Number 07007004 in any future correspondence associated with this request. Please note that the NRC staffs detailed technical review of your submittal may identify omissions in the submittal information or technical issues which require additional information.

Based on our acceptance review and projection of current review schedules, we anticipate that we will complete the technical review of your submittal by February 28, 2021. Please note, as I indicated to you in a previous biweekly status phone call, while we consider this review important, we intend to provide greater priority to our review of your classified matter program description and plans, which you submitted by letter ACO 20-0006 dated March 31, 2020, related to the protection of classified matter at American Centrifuge Plant in Piketon, Ohio. In addition, the NRC staff estimates that completing the review of the classified matter security plan for the TMC will require approximately 600 staff hours plus $50,000 in contract support provided by the Department of Energy (DOE) under an interagency agreement that is currently in the process of being renewed. The total cost of the review corresponds to about $217,000.

In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for
