Request for Extension of Interim Authority To Operate

Dear Mirela Gavrilas:

The purpose of this letter is to request an additional six-month extension of the Interim Authority to Operate (IATO) for the security plan SEC-18-0002, American Centrifuge Operating, LLC (ACO)

Information System Security Plan (JSSP) for Oak Ridge, TN; Piketon, OH; and Bethesda, MD. This system is currently operating under a U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) authorized IATO that is valid through February 1, 2024 (Reference 1 ), as conditioned.

This extension would allow for continued operations during NRC' s assessment and final issuance of an ongoing Authority To Operate the system in Piketon, Ohio.
