13 MR. DODSON: Yes. That will continue 14 until we get the reactor cooled down. I believe we 15 actually have to depressurize the RCS to about, I'm 16 sorry, cooldown below 300 degrees. At approximately 17 290 degrees we can transition or so, we can transition 18 onto RHR.

20 MR . DODSON: And we're a little ways away 21 from that yet.
22 MR GOTT: Okay.
23 MR DODSON: All right.

10 MR. GOTT: Hi, Mr. Frost. Earlier today, 11 we notified the DHS that one of our facilities in 12 Connecticut had declared an alert.
13 SENIOR WATCH OFFICER: Yes.
14 MR. GOTT: Millstone Unit 3.
15 SENIOR WATCH OFFICER: Yes.
16 MR. GOTT: They've secured from their 17 alert. They've gone back to their normal operating.
18 They're still shut down but they've terminated their 19 alert at 1905 because they cooled down enough to meet 20 the criteria for the condition they were in.
21 SENIOR WATCH OFFICER: Okay.

42 1 still in the monitoring mode as they continue to cool 2 down their plant all the way to cold shutdown. But 3 they've secured from their alert.
4 SENIOR WATCH OFFICER: Okay, and my 5 understanding is this was a mechanical failure pretty 6 much.
7 MR. GOTT: Yes, a relief valve on their 8 steam system lifted, the transient that caused the 9 reactor to shut down and there were a couple other 10 complications that they're still investigating which 11 is way they're having to cool all the way down to a 12 cold shutdown to complete their investigation.
13 SENIOR WATCH OFFICER: Okay. They're 14 probably going to be.offline for a couple of days 15 then.
16 MR. GOTT: But there appeared to be no 17 radioactive releases or any problems like that.
18 SENIOR WATCH OFFICER: Okay.
19 MR. GOTT: Okay.
20 SENIOR WATCH OFFICER: Very good. I 21 appreciate the update and thanks much.
