1.3 After the initial run all crankcase doors will be removed and the following performed:
1.3.1 All bearing caps (main and rod)will be inspected for unusual hot spots.1.3.2 1.3.3 1.3.4 Visual inspection for signs of water leaks.Hand check chains and tighteners.
General inspection of all exposed components for any signs of stress.1.3.5 If all inspections are satisfactory, DGB will be made ready for break-in.1.4 Break-in will require an initi'al 2 hour2.314815e-5 days
5.555556e-4 hours
3.306878e-6 weeks
7.61e-7 months
no load run followed by loading in 25X increments thru lOOX.A 2 hour2.314815e-5 days
5.555556e-4 hours
3.306878e-6 weeks
7.61e-7 months
time period will be imposed at each level of load before proceeding to the next level. All engine operating parameters will be in continuous observation and recorded on an hourly bases.
