By signature below, I hereby affinn and acknowledge an agreement between University Hospital and the University of Wisconsin Nuclear Reactor (GCE) to provide primary medical services in the event of an emergency at G M . University Hospital will also provide W ical services for accident victims when radiological hazards are, or may have been present.
University Hospitals has treated patients involved in radiation accidents in the past. University Hospital has facilities for treatment of contaminated accident victims, for decontamination of injured personnel, and for evaluation of personnel exposure to, and uptake of, programs using radioisotopes. The expertise and depth in personnel we have on campus with highly trained radiation physicists and at the Ibspital in areas such as hematology, inmunology, and blood therapy provide the necessary canbination of resources to deal effectively with severely injured patients.
Dnergency Roan personnel receive initial training and periodic review in the handling of accident victims where radiological hazards are present.
