Dear Mr. Cashwell:

SUBJECT: MATERIAL CONTROL AND ACCOUNTING INSPECTION AT UNIVERSITY OF

WISCONSIN NUCLEAR REACTOR

This refers to the routine inspection conducted by James Belanger of this

office on September 15, 1993. The inspection included a review of authorized

activities for your University of Wisconsin Reactor Facility. At 'he

conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed with you.

Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. Within

these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective examination of procedures

and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of

activities in progress.

No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this

inspection.

Areas examined during this inspection concern a subject matter which is exempt

from disclosure according to Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice,"

Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regula'. . ms. Consequently, the attachment

to this report will not be placed in th: - Dublic Document Room.
