This letter supplies information requested in your June 19, 1987 letter concerning information on DOE /NRC Forms 741 and 742.
The -information on DOE /NRC Forms 741 and 742 is neither classified nor proprietary.
It is curaidered as subject to public disclosure and not considered confidential, since there is no basis for withholding it from public disclosbre in NRC regulations.
From the standpoint of NMSS it would appear imprudent for the Commission to deliberately publish or distribute information on SNM inventory at various sites, however. License limits on SMN possession are available to the public since licenses are public. There does not appear to be any public benefit to making information on current inventory public knowledge.
