Dear Sirs:
By letter dated February 19, 1992, the Department of Energy has notified us that funding for the safety analysis phase of conversion to low enrichment fuel will be available during fiscal year 1992.
A copy of the DOE letter is attached.
Since this phase is for the initiation (computations and safety analysis portions only) of the refuelling, it is not yet possible to present the Commission with a schedule for the remaining portions of the refuelling in accordance with section lii of the Part 50 reference.
This notification is sent you in compliance with 10 CFR Part SS.64C.
