Occurrence Date: April 6, 1982 Identification of Occurrence:

Power range nuclear instrumentation channel "C" out of cali-bration, contrary to Technical Specification 3.3.1.1.

Condition Prior to Occurrence: ,

Mode 1 Power Operation (75%).

Description of Occurrence:

At 1200, while performing Surveillance Procedure (SP-ll3), channel "C" function-generator was found out  !

of calibration. Maintenance was initiated, and operability  :

was restored on Apri' 6, 1982.

Designation of Apparent Cause:

The cause of this event is attributed to instrument drift.

Analysis of.0ccurrence:

There was no effect upon the health or safety of the ,

general public.

j Corrective Action:

The instrument was recalibrated per Surveillance Procedure (SP-ll3). No further corrective action is deemed necessary.

Failure Data: i This is the first occurrence for channel "C", and this is [

the thirteenth report under this Specification.
