f This report is submitted in accordance with Technical Specification 6.9.1 and Regulatory Guide 1.16, Revision 4, Section 2.b. (1), as a written Thirty (30) Day Report.

( During surveillance tests of engineering safeguards actuationi ti el makeup pump suction valve closed spuriously causing Makeup Pump 3B (MLT-3B) to lose suction resulting in seizure.

The pump has been repaired with a replacement rotating element and subse-quently tested. The closure of the valve (MUV-6e could not be repeated during numerous receses and is, therefore, consiuered spurious.
