Dear Mr. Pyarilal:

SALEM GENERATING STATION NJPDES PERMIT NO. NJ0005622 OIL WATER SEPARATOR PROJECT TWA APPLICATION NO. 93-7504-4 In accordance with your April 12, 1993 letter, Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G) Company is providing the following signed and sealed drawings for the above-referenced Treatment Works Approval (TWA) project: 1. Piping and Instrumentation Diagram 2. Hydraulic Profile 3. Process Flow Diagram 4. South Yard Drain Inlet Drawing .5. General Site Plan In addition, PSE&G is providing a copy of Resolution Number 50-93 adopted by Lower Alloways Creek Township on April 6, 1993 endorsing the oil water separator project. This endorsement is being submitted in accordance with NJAC 7:14A-2.l(k)2 and Section A of Form WQM-003. The April 12 letter also requires a copy of the signed and dated letter requesting endorsement of this project from the affected sewerage authority in accordance with NJAC 7:14A-2.l(k).

As discussed by Mr. Jay Acharya of your staff and Mr. Patrick McCabe PSE&G on April 14, the site of this project does not fall within the service area of any sewerage authority.

Pyarilal 2 APR 3 0 1993 NLR-E93131 Due to the schedule required for completion of this project and the requirement to conduct an Effluent Characterization Study on the discharge from the new system, PSE&G is requesting that the Department expedite the technical review of this project to allow timely installation and operation of this system.
