Currently, a large majority of the gauges used in the pump testing program comply with the 1974/Summer of 1975 Addenda of Section XI of the ASME Code, Paragraph IWP-4111, which states "The full scale range of each instrument shall not be greater than four (4) times the reference value." We are requesting a transition period of 6 months from the start date of the second ten year inspection interval (January 1, 1988) to allow additional time for procurement and installation of new gauges. Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated.
