This mine Is opened by one three-co~artment steel set shaft, 5'x16' In size, 519 feet deep. Two levels are being opened, 1-3 level is the ore level at 400 feet d..p and 1-4 level at 445 feet deep, this 1-4 level Is the main ore haulage level.
Thi shaft Is used for ventilation, for hoisting supplies, for hoisting development muck ore and hoisting men.
RADIATION AND VENTILATION This mine was ventilated bymme 83,000 cubic feet per minute of a I r de 11 ve red and e,._austed through the following opening~:

This fan was mounted at the surface collar of the vent shaft. This vent shaft was steel lined throughout the length of the opening. The second escape system was provided t~tough this vent shaft and all hoisting equipment were available for utilizing In extreme cases of emergency.
Air underground was distributed to the working places by directing the primary airflow, by use of auxlllary fans and vent tubings, to control the airflow, ventilation doors were utilized In the main drifts.

GENERAL INFORMATION The primary purpose of this Inspection was ta check radon-daughter concentrations In each working place of the mine, to measure quantity of air suppl led to each man working und9rground and to calculate a time-weighted exposure for each of the various classes of mine personnel.
For collectlng the alpha particles, the HSA Honltalre air sampler, u. S. Bureau of Hines approval No. 2F*2004 was used. For counting the alpha disintegration, the PS*I Eb~rllne PRM-4 pulse rate In contlnatlon with the pulse Integrator Pl*I was used.

A tl11e-welghted exposure calculatlon for the different types of mine personnel was not made due to the low concentration of radon-daughters (DI working level) found during this Inspection; therefore. the total mine exposure Index wlll be too low, In result, It wll 1 be negll9lble.
