PRIVACY ACT STATEMENT NRCs 2024 CAREER EXPO REGISTRATION

Pursuant to 5 U.S.C. 552a(e)(3), enacted into law by Section 3 of the Privacy Act of 1974 (Public Law 93-579), the following statement is furnished to in dividuals who supply information to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) through the 202 4 Career Expo Registration.

This information is maintained in a system of records designate d as OPM/GOVT Recruiting, Examining, and Placement Records, which is described at 79 Federal Register 16834 (March 26, 2014) and has been subsequently modified as described in mo re recent Federal Register notices (most recent modification as of the date of this form: 86 Federal Register 68291 (December 1, 2021)), and/or Reasonable Accommodation RecordsNR C-11, which is described at 87 Federal Register 64266 (October 24, 2022) or in a more recent Federal Register publication of the system of records notice.

1. AUTHORITY: OPM/GOVT-5: 5 U.S.C. 1302, 3109, 3301, 3302, 3304, 3305, 3306, 3307, 309, 3313, 3317, 3318, 3319, 3326, 4103, 4723, 5532, and 5533, and Executive Order 9397. NRC-11: Executive Order (E.O.) 13164; E.O. 9397, as amended by E.O.

13478; Social Security Number Fraud Prevention Act of 2017, 42 U.S.C. 405 note.

2. PRINCIPAL PURPOSE(S): Registration request to participate in the NRCs 2024 Career Expo.
3. ROUTINE USE(S): Information may be disclosed in accordance with any of the Rou tine Uses described in OPM/GOVT-5, Recruiting, Examining, and Placement Records, or Reasonable Accommodations RecordsNRC-11, including, but not limited to, disclosure: to an appropriate Federal, State, local or Foreign agency in the event the information indicates a violation or potential violation of law and in the course of an administrative or judicial proceeding; in the course of discove ry, and in presenting evidence to, or pursuant to an order issue from, a court, magis trate, administrative tribunal, or grand jury; to a Congressional office in response to their inquiry made at your request; to NRC-paid experts, consul tants, and others under contract with the NRC, on a need-to-know basis; or to appropriate persons and entities for purposes of response and remedial efforts in the event of a suspected or confirmed breac h of data from this system of records. 4. WHETHER DISCLOSURE IS MANDATORY OR VOLUNTARY AND EFFECT ON INDIVIDUAL OF NOT PROVIDING INFORMATION: It is voluntary that you furnish the requested information; however, failure to provide the necessar y information would prevent participation at the career expo and may prevent you fr om receiving personal assistance services if needed.
