POTENTIALLY REPORTABLE 10CFR50.55(e) CONDITION, WNP-2 106 DESIGN VERIFICATION OF SEISMIC CATEGORY I, QUALITY CLASS I HVAC SYSTEM HANGERS

References:

(1) G02-80-293, dated December 15, 1980 (2) G02-81-52, dated March 10, 1981 Reference (1) provided notification and an interim report on the subject condition. Reference (2) reported on the preparation and approval of pro-cedures for hanger design and verification, and on a request to the Contrac-tor for verification of the designs for hangers considered to be permanently installed.

f From further review of the subject condition, it has been determineu that

although a breakdown in the QA Program occurred in respect to documentation l of the hanger desigr. control procedures, it would not have resulted in phy-sical deficiencies adversely affecting safe operation of the plant. It has, therefore, been concluded that the condition is not reportable as a 10CFR50.55(e) deficiency.
