By letter (LES-21-148-NRC) dated October 20, 2021 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession No. ML21298A047) Louisiana Energy Services, LLC (LES), doing business as URENCO USA (UUSA), requested that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) extend deadlines for certain conditions imposed as part of the Interim Authorization to Operate (IATO). The IATO, issued via {{letter dated|date=July 30, 2021|text=letter dated July 30, 2021}}, (ADAMS Accession No. ML21208A201), imposed both general and specific conditions, several of which were due by the end of October or November 2021. LES completed two of the conditions via {{letter dated|date=October 28, 2021|text=letter dated October 28, 2021}} (Accession No. ML21307A308) and requested 90- or 120-day extensions for the remaining items.
The NRC staff reviewed the requests and determined extensions may be issued for the remaining items, but for several, no additional extensions will be considered. Based on the recommendation by the technical review team and NRC Chief Information Security Officer, the Authorizing Official, for the licensee classified systems, NRC approves the request by LES for extension of the timeline for specific conditions 1, 2 and 3 as listed in the July 30, 2021, IATO.
This letter closes efforts for extension of the timeline on the IATO conditions conducted under Enterprise Project Identification Number (EPID) L-2021-LLL-0011. The EPID will remain open for future work on IATO related activities.

APPROVAL OF EXTENSION OF THE CONDITION DUE DATES THAT SUPPORT THE INTERIM AUTHORIZATION TO OPERATE CLASSIFIED NETWORKS (ENTERPRISE PROJECT IDENTIFICATION NUMBER L-2021-LLL-0011)

Dear Mr. Padgett:

By letter (LES-21-148-NRC) dated October 20, 2021 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession No. ML21298A047) Louisiana Energy Services, LLC (LES), doing business as URENCO USA (UUSA), requested that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) extend deadlines for certain conditions imposed as part of the Interim Authorization to Operate (IATO). The IATO, issued via letter dated July 30, 2021, (ADAMS Accession No. ML21208A201), imposed both general and specific conditions, several of which were due by the end of October or November 2021. LES completed two of the conditions via letter dated October 28, 2021 (Accession No.
