Request for Approval of Wireless Devices - Dexcom G7 and Tandem Insulin Pump
Reference:
- 1. Letter from M Mangefrida to J Rickman regarding approval of medical transmitting devices dated 8/21/2024 (IN-24-061-NRC)
Pursuant to Reference 1, Louisiana Energy Services, also dba Urenco USA (UUSA) herewith requests approval of wireless medical devices to be used in areas designated for storage of classified information.
The Dexcom G7 Continuous Glucose Monitoring System (CGM) is used for monitoring blood glucose levels. UUSA employees using the device will wear the sensor and transmitter within closed areas. The transmitter is capable of pairing and communicating with other smart devices as well as a dedicated receiver and insulin delivery system.
UUSA requests approval of the device and its dedicated transmitter.
Additionally, Urenco USA requests approval of the Tandem T:SLIM X2 insulin pump.
The device connects to the Dexcom G7 GCM, or other glucose monitors, and delivers insulin. UUSA employees using the device will carry the device with them in closed areas.
