LOUISIANA ENERGY SERVICES - INTERIM AUTHORITY TO OPERATE CLASSIFIED NETWORK (ENTERPRISE PROJECT IDENTIFICATION NUMBER L-2021-LLL-0007)
Dear Mr. Padgett:
We have reviewed your letter dated March 9, 2021, requesting classified network reaccreditation for the URENCO USA enrichment facility (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession Number ML21090A216). The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff review of your request has identified that additional information is needed before a new, 3-year authority to operate can be granted.
A new interim authority to operate (IATO) has been granted by the NRC Authorizing Official and is provided in Enclosure 1. The conditions of the IATO specify the additional information required. An authorization assessment report is provided in Enclosure 2. A justification for the transition to NIST Special Publication 800-53, Revision 5, is provided in Enclosure 3.
Pending your response, we anticipate completing our review by the end of January 2022. This date could change depending on the findings of our technical review, urgent assignments, or other factors. We will promptly communicate any significant changes to this schedule.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from ADAMS. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
This document transmits enclosures containing sensitive, unclassified information. When separated from the enclosures, this document is decontrolled.
