Dear Mr. Cruse:

By letters dated March 27,1998, as supplemented April 21,1998, and November 24,1998,

- the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE) requested NRC approval of proposed changes to Revision 49 of the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant (Calvert Cliffs) Quality Assurance Program Description (QAP) in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(a)(3).

The submittal proposed changing previously approved provisions regarding the approval authority for procedures listed in Calvert Cliffs Technical Specification 5.4 and adding new requirements for processing editorial corrections to these procedures.

, We have reviewed your. submittal in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(a), and have determined

- that the proposed QAP changes are acceptable in that the QAP continues to meet the requirements of Appendix P to 10 CFR Part 50. The enclosed safety evaluation contains our evaluation of your proposed changes.
