SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT: AMENDMENT REQUEST DATED JANUARY 13,1999, CHANGES TO EMERGENCY PLAN DISCUSSION l
By application dated January 13,1999, GE submitted revisions to page 1 (titled " Revision Date    l by Chapter / Appendix") of its Radiological Contingency and Emergency Plan (Plan). The            i revisions are to correct the number of pages referenced in Chapters 1,5 and 6 and to provide      !
the latest revision for the site plot map identified in Appendix E. The changes are administrative '
in nature. The staff has determined that the changes do not decrease the response                  ;
effectiveness of the Plan and therefore, the changes are acceptable.                              l ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW These changes are considered administrative in nature. The staff has determined that the proposed changes do not adversely affect public health and safety or the environment and are categorically excluded from the requirements to prepare a site-specific environmental assessment. Therefore, in accordance with 10 CFR 51.22(c)(11), neither an environmental assessment nor an environmental impact statement is warranted for this action.
CONCLUSION The NRC staff has reviewed the proposed amendment and has determined that the proposed changes will have no adverse effect on the public health and safety or the environment.
Therefore, the amendment application is approved.
The Region 11 inspection staff has no objection to this proposed amendment.
