SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT, LICENSE AMENDMENT APPLICATION DATED OCTOBER 30, 1987, RE REVISED RADIOLOGICAL CONTINGENCY AND EMERGENCY PLAN (RCEP)
BACKGROUND 1
GE is authorized to change the RCEP provided such changes do not decrease the 1
effectiveness of the plan.
GE is required to report such changes to the NRC within 6 months of the change. On October 30, 1987, GE notified the NRC of
]
changes to the RCEP.
In the subject application, GE proposes to revise the i
reference in the license to include the changed RCEP.
DISCUSSION The RCEP revision included changes to reference the new GE Business Organization at Wilmington, incorporated references to UPMP, and changed organizational titles.
The staff agrees with the licensee that the changes do not decrease the effectiveness of the RCEP dated October 10, 1987.
CONCLUSION The staff concludes that the changed RCEP should be referenced in the license.
Approval of the subject application is recommended.
The Region II Principal Inspector has no objection to this proposed action.
