,Re: St. Lucie Unit 1 Docket No. 50-335 Proposed Amendment to Facilit 0 eratin License DPR-67 In accordance with 10 CFR 50.30, Florida Power 8, Light Company submits herewith three (3) signed originials and forty (40) copies of a request to amend Appendix A of Facility Operating License DPR-67.

The proposed amendment is described below and shown on the accompanying Technical Specification page bearing the date of this letter in the lower right hand corner.

~Pa e 5-4 The maximum enrichment permitted by Technical Specification 5.3.1 is revised to permit greater flexibility in assigning design feature input assumptions for future cycles, and to establish the option of longer operating cycles for St. Lucie Unit 1. Evaluation of specific core configurations using: the proposed enrichments will be performed prior to each reload as required by 10 CFR 50.59.

The proposed amendment has been reviewed by the St. Lucie Facility Review Group and the Florida Power & Light Company Nuclear Review Board, and is forwarded for your consideration. Florida Power 8, Light Company has determined that this is a Class III amendment in accordance with 10 CFR 170.22 and accordingly encloses a check for four thousand dollars

($ 4000.00).
