==Dear Ms. Haughey:==

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has reviewed the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) related to the operation of Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, Unit No . 2 . Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station is located on Lake Ontario in the Town of Scriba, Oswego  County,  New York.
In view of the installation of the natural draft cooling. tower as  well as other mitigating measures at the site, the NMFS concludes that the operation of Nine Mile Point Unit No . 2 will have only a minor impact on the living aquatic resources of the area. Since this conclusion is in line with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and is thoroughly discussed in the DEIS we have no comments to offer.
