CONDENSER TUBE LEAK s
On October 30, 1985, due to a_ condenser tube Icak, Diablo Canyon Unit I reduced power and achieved Mode 2 ( 5% rated thermal power) at 11:18 am. At 9:04 pm (PST), on October 30, 1985, Diablo Canyon Unit I achieved Mode 3 (hot standby), and continued to cooldown to Mode 5 (cold shutdown). Plans are under way to drain and refill the steam g:narators with a planned outage of three days. The condenser tube Icak was severe enough to go through the inline demineralizers causing high conductivity levels in the steam g:narators. Condenser tube leak location has not yet been determined.
