QUICK LOOK DAT4 REPORT FOR AP600 INTEGRAL SYSTEMS TEST AT SPES-2: MATRIX TEST 13

Dear Mr. Borchardt:

Enclosed with this letter is a repon describing the results of a test ' performed at the AP600 SPES-2 Integral Systems Test Facility at Piacenza, Italy. This Quick Look Data Repon (QLR) :ummarizes the test conditions and measured data for matrix test S01613.

The described test is effectively a repeat of Matrix Test 1 (l" cold leg break) with the addition of increased PRHR capability. This test was added to the test matrix previously discussed with NRC staff and was performed to investigate the effects of increased PRHR heat removal capability on the transient.

The purpose of these data reports is to provide the NRC staff with information on AP600 matrix tests of sufficient d pth to enable early evaluation and analysis of test results.

An electronic copy of the test data included in the QLR is provided as Enclosure 2 on a singl: 4mm ,

data cartridge, The test data files are ASCII files which were archived on the data cartridge rsing j Palindrone Network Archivist Version 2.0f.

The QLR and data canridge contain Westinghouse proprietary information and is identified as preliminary. This information will be incorporated in the Final Test Report. With the publication of the Final Test Report, the preliminary identification will be removed and a non-proprietary version of the Final Test Report will be prepared.

The Westinghouse Electric Corporation copyright notice, proprietary information notice, application for withholding and affidavit are attached.
