American Centrifuge Plant (ACP)-High-Assay Low-Enriched Uranium (HALEU) Demonstration Cascade

Reporting Period of July l through December 31, 2023

Overview of Results

On June 12, 2023, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission authorized the introduction of uranium hexafluoride (UF6) into the HALED Demonstration Cascade module at the ACP located within Piketon, Ohio. Formal testing activities began in August 2023.

The.information provided within this report provides the total release data, specifically uranium and technetium (if anyY amounts and concentrations for American Centrifuge Operations, LLC's (ACQ) gaseous and liquid effluents.

ACO's total exposure is 3.49 E-06 millirem (mrem). Doses were determined using CAP88 Version 4.1.1 for readings obtained during the reporting period. The total release data for the repohing period of July 1 through December 31, 2023, is as follows:

llliriuionuc1ide *unft'of:M:easu:re 2.40 E-03 6.04 E-02 milliCurie (mCi) 4.75 E-04. 2.30 E-03 mCi 7.56 E-04 3.47 E-02 mCi 0.00 E+00 0.00 E+00 mCi

  • , 99Tc lab results were undetectable.. I

As sp.own above, the total release data is well below ACO's As Low As Reasonably Achievable goals for both airborne and waterborne radioactive releases as committed within Chapter 9 ofLA-360~-0001, License Application for the American Centrifuge Plant.
