Dear Kelly L. Fitch:
By letter dated May 23, 2024 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System
[ADAMS] Accession No. ML24150A062), American Centrifuge Operating, LLC (ACO), a wholly owned subsidiary of Centrus Energy Corp., requested review and approval of proposed changes to SP-3605-0042, Security Plan for the Physical Protection of Special Nuclear Material at the American Centrifuge Plant (ACP) located in Piketon, Ohio. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) accepted the application for detailed review on August 14, 2024 (ML24234A063).
The NRC staff has completed its review of the May 23, 2024, request. The details associated with the review are documented in the enclosed non-public security evaluation report (SER). As part of this licensing action, License Condition 10.y has been modified to incorporate, in the enclosed license, the license amendment request submitted on May 23, 2024, and its update submitted on September 19, 2024 (ML24269A093).
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 2, Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) or from the Publicly Available Records component of the NRCs ADAMS. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC website at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html. The PDR is open by appointment.
