We have reviewed your letter dated September 22, 1987, and have no objection to your painting some of the rooms in Building C and using them for offices and other activities which do not involve radioactive materials.

You have indicated in your radiological survey report for Building C that the contamination levels in the building were below the Nuclear Regulatory j

l Commission release limits. However, Building C will not be released for l

l unrestricted use until the results of NRC's confir:1atory survey are finalized.
