The staff has reviewed the Groundwater Monitoring Program submitted by amendment application dated October 28, 1987, and find that the following additional information is needed:

1.

At what elevation above MSL are the bottoms of the LWDF tanks?

2.

Justify technically the location and depth of the monitoring wells.

3.

Provide background radiological information.

4.

Specify the units on the 0 - 100 scale of Figure 1.

5.

Incorporate Items 3 thru 6 in Chapter 5 of the application.

Our environmental review schedule calls for the receipt of your written response (eight copies) by April 1,1988.
