FORT ST. YRAIN NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, AMENDMENT NO.50 TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE DPR-34 The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No.50 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-34 for the Fort St. Vrain Nuclear Generating Station.
This amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications in response to your application dated June 4,1986, as supplemented October 27, 1986, and partially superseded by your application dated December 19, 1986.
This amendment incorporates the requirements for your Steam Line Rupture Detection /IsolationSystem(SLRDIS).
These requirements include new limiting conditions for operation and surveillances to assure that the SLRDIS will perform as designed should the reactor require this protective function.
A copy of the Safety Evaluation is enclosed. A separate Safety Evaluation, which approved the SLRDIS design, was sent to you by letter dated January 15, 1987.
The Notice of Issuance will be included in the Commission's next Bi-weekly Federal Register notice.
