NOTICE OF VIOLATION Detroit Edison Company Docket No. 50-341 As a result of the inspection conducted on April 21-24, 1986, and in accordance with the " General Policy and Procedures for NRC Enforcement Actions," 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C (1985), the following violation was identified:

i Technical Specifications 6.11 requires that procedures for personnel radiation

, protection be prepared consistent with the requirements of 10 CFR 20 and shall be approved, maintained, and adhered to.

Procedure 64.000.201, Section 7.5.10, requires that if an action point is I

exceeded on a Sodium Iodide detector in the standup Whole Body Counter, that the individual be counted in the chair Whole Body Counter.

Contrary to the above, the count of an individual on the standup Whole Body Counter exceeded the action level on January 22, 1986, and the individual was not counted on the chair Whole Body Counter.

This is a Severity Level V violation (Supplement IV).

The inspection showed that action had been taken to correct the identified violation and to prevent recurrence. Consequently, no reply to the violation is required and we have no further questions regarding this matter.
