NOTICE OF VIOLATION Detroit Edisor. Company Docket No. 50-341 As a result of the inspection conducted on August 15 through September 9, 1988, and in accordar.ce with 10 CFR Part 2. Appendix C - General Stater:ent of Policy and Procedure for NRC Enforcement Actions (1988), the following violation was identified:
10 CFR 50, Appendix B, Criterion VI, requires that measures shall be established to control the issuance of docurrents and shall assure that documents, including changes, are reviewed and approved and used at the location where the activity is performed. The Fenni 2 Updated Safety Analysis Report, Chapter 17.2.6 requires that documents defining the perfonnance of quality related activities are controlled to ensure that only current and i
correct infonnation is used at the work location.
Contrary to the above, procedures established to control vendor equipnnnt technical information were not adequate to ensure that only reviewed, approved, and current vendor technical information is used at the work location.
This is a Severity Level IV violation (Supplement 1).
