10CFR50 Appendix R Fire Protection Modifications

REFERENCE:

1) PSC Letter, Lee to Johnson, dated April 1, 1985 (P-85113)

Dear Mr. Johnson:

This letter is to inform you of the design status regarding Fort St.

Vrain, fire detection system, resul ting from PSC compliance with 10CFR50 Appendix R.

The comitment detailed in Report 4 (Lee to Johnson, P-85113) states the Change Notice Package and materials for construction are to be on site, September 1, 1985.

PSC has issued the initial Change Notice to provide the design and location of all detection devices, the installation of all conduit connecting these devices and cabling between the same. The vendor providing system design has not supplied PSC with the connection diagrams, as of September 1, 1985. This has resulted in a delay in the assembly of a complete design package.

PSC regrets the commitment was not fully complied with, and is pursuing with the vendor a timely delivery of complete connection diagrams.

We anticipate that the final installation date of February 1, 1986 will still be complied with.
