This letter is filed in response to the letter from Judge Wolfe, dated February 19, 1988, requesting a status report on the medical services issues (10 C.F.R. 6 50.07(b)(12) that are pending in the captioned matter.

Please be advised that the parties have entered into discussions that hope-fully will lead to a settlement of the issues herein. A proposed settlement agreement has been drafted, circulated among the parties for comment and is presently being redrafted to more closely reflect the views of the parties.

All of the parties have expressed a desire for settlement of the issues in this matter.
