An Office of Investigation (01) letter, san.e subject as this n.cmorandum, Z Z 7 ~~ 4~ated-Se;m.-n-ber-8,1983, was reviewed in conjunction with documents. f rom
_.an 01. invest.igator. The documents received f rom the 01 investigator included approximately 30 nonconforir.ance/ deficiency reports (NCR/DR),12 menos or cover sheets, a weld control record form, a QC checklist fo r welding material, 2 welding surveillance reports, and 2 surveillance repo rt s.
The NRC inspector perfomed an in-office review of the above listed documents to detemine the validity of the NCR/DR that were alleredly improperly wided before arriving at a final determination retardinE the earlier acts of intimida;; ion.
The NRC inspector cottpared these NCR/DR docu.cra with NCR/DE and three part memoranda previously reviewed at the Wolf Creek Generating Station during the week of October 18-22, 1983.
Trom these two separate and unrelated reviews, the NRC inspector determined there is only a slight' possibility that NCR/DR documentation was imprgperly that 4
- voided prior to-a final deterination of the reported r.oncon'otrance and/or deficiency.
The sisnificance of ' improperly voided NCE/DT. as evidenced from the reviews, as described above, are suf ficiently remote to close this issue and no further action is contemplated on this particular subject.
