.V-ATTACHMENT V0GTLE ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT UNITS 1 AND 2 MATERIALS APPLICATION SECTION MATERIALS ENGINEERING BRANCH 6.2.7 Fracture Prevention of Containment Pressure Boundary The staff has reviewed confirmatory information submitted by the applicant.

The staff concludes that reasonable assurance has been provided that the Vogtle 1 and 2 reactor containment pressure boundary materials will behave in a nonbrittle manner, that the probability of rapidly propagating fracture will be mininized, and that the requirements of GDC 51 are satisfied.
