Dear Dr. Birkhofer:
It was a pleasure to meet you and to have an opportunity to discuss issues of mutual interest on June 21, 1995.
Unfortunately, time will not permit me to visit i
Germany in September.
However, perhaps arrangements can be made for us to continue our discussion of ih
-i nuclear safety matters during the IAEA General Conference in Vienna.
A visit to Germany will be included in one of my future trips to Europe.
I look forward to seeing you again.
Sincerely, Q kj

Dear Ms. Arnstein:
Thank you for the information letter regarding the Trade and Development Agency-funded feasibility studies relating to the shutdown of the Russian plutonium production reactors at Tomsk and Krasnoyarsk.
I applaud TDA's support for efforts to halt the production of weapons-grade plutonium in Russia, an issue of great importance to the United States.
I am interested in the outcome of your work and look forward to receiving additional periodic status reports.
Sincerely, D
