  • schedules to determine if the licensee's schedule for completion of construction and I

preoperational testing is communsurate with the status of the plant and determine if the licensee's schedul'ed fuel load date of April 1978 is realistic. Results of Visit MIPC and RII personnel were presented an overview of the entire Hatch 2 Project and schedule by Georgia Power Compar.y personnel. The current and future update of the " Yellow Book" milestones were discussed and the " Yellow Book" was marked up by H1PC to reflect the latest information. CPC personnel presented detailed discus-sions and status on each phase of construction and preoperational activities. These discussions covered the status of electrical, mechanical, civil, procurement, engineering and preoperational activities. Precentage completion of each item was presented and backup data (records, logie diagrams, charts, computer readouts) were used to substantiate the current status. NRC personnel questioned GPC on the status of union negotiations,

e manpower on site, material procurement, preoperational procedures and startup procedures to determine if any of the abcve would cause a delay in fuel load date. The licensee stated that all of the above have been analyzed and no apparent problems exist. NRC personnel toured the construction site to verify that the construc-tion and preoperational activities as presented by GPC had actually been performed or were in progress.

I Conclusion Based on NRC's examination of data, discussions with GPC personnel and observation of construction activities, it appears that GPC will be ready to load fuel in April, 1978. f 4
