Dear Mr. Thomas:

_Subjt r. Schedule for Implementation of the NESR Emergency Response Plan This is in response to your letter of August 23. 1984 requesting a schedule to implement the new NBSR Emergency Response Plan. The NBS reactor was shut

'down earlier this month for upgrade. The upgrade :is' expected to take up to six months and will involve the entire staff. Accordingly, NBS will move as quickly as possible to prepare procedures and provide- training to implement the emergency response plan. It is expected that will be completed in May

-1985. As. indicated before, NBS has always had in effect emergency procedures to deal with any emergency.

Sincerely,-
