SUBJECT:
ZIMMER-ALLEGATION RE: LO'a'ERING OF WELDING REQUIREMENTS On November 12, 1980, the Region III Duty Of ficer, D. Danielson, was advised,by the HQ DutLOfficer that en individual who identified him-self as ja welding insp ector at Zimmer, had alleged the velding requirements at that site were being_ revised downward.
It was indicated his home address was but that he had no home telephone.
He said he cos1d be contacted at work and that he worked the second shif t.
On Nove=ber 2_0, 1980 I called the site during the second shif t and was advised that
,Aras not listed in the site telephone directory and unless I knew his employer there was no means of contacting him.
On November 26, 1980, in response tgmy inggiry, T. Daniels, Senior Resident Inspector, advised me thatj

at the site but could be contacted by calling his home in
