PAGE _a OF 7 Monthly Su==ary STPECS Unit 2 began the reporting period in Mode 3 completing repairs to a Feedwater Regulating Valve that had initiated a reactor trip on 3/26/90.

Repairs to the valve were completed but the unit remained out of service due to a problem during startup with Main Turbine Governor Valve #4 which did not operate correctly. The valve would not close on the trip signal to the valve.

The governor valve replacertent was completed on 4/9/90. With the unit critical in Mode 2 the Main Turbine rupture discs were damaged while warming up the steam lines. Following replacement of the rupture discs the unit was returned to service on 4/11/90 at 1346.

On 4/14/90 at 1703 a Turbine / Reactor trip occurred due to low Electro.

llydraulic Control pressure caused by a rupture of the supply line to Governor Valve W4. Repairs were completed and the unit was returned to service on 4/16/90 at 2033.

The Main Turbine was ramped down and s,ccured at 2028 on 4/19/90 due to an Electro llydraulic Control leak on the #21 West Intercept Valve that developed during maintenance. The intercept valve was declared operable on 4/20/90 and the unit was returned to service at 1108.

The unit concluded the reporting period at 100% reactor power.
